Tisa Klicek
Making theater exclusive.
Tisa Klicek is an emerging theatre maker based in the UK.
Originally from Croatia, Tisa started her theatre career as a part of an ensemble in Istrian National Theatre from 2010 until 2017. She then went to study Integrated Master’s degree in Touring Theatre at University of Worcester and graduated in 2021. Between 2017-2021 she was a part of a theatre company BlackBox13.
The company toured with performances including Dennis Kelly’s DNA which toured to schools around the West Midlands. In 2020, the company toured regionally in the West Midlands, including the Birmingham Mac with an original devised physical theatre production called Somewhere Waiting For Me.
Alongside theatre making, she works in B-arts organization in Stoke-on-Tent as a Youth Directory where she delivers forum theatre workshops to young people.
Her practice, while focusing on theatre, spans comedy, physical theatre, devised theatre and new writing. As a solo performer, her practice is reflecting her ethos - to change the preconception of seeing theatre as exclusive. Her work focuses on real life and relatable stories and regardless of being autobiographical, collaboration, dramatic or devised, Tisa’s practice invites the audience to seek theatre as reflection of their lives.
